Support - Volunteers

Museums cannot exist without volunteers.
Many volunteer opportunities are available at the Lancaster Quilt
& Textile Museum and the Heritage
Center Museum.
Opportunities

Museum Store Volunteer - Should have a feel for the retail business
and some interest in quilts and textiles, along with a satisfaction
in helping customers

Lobby Greeter - The frontline to the visitors who come to the museum

Collections Assistance Volunteer - Works with the curator to process
and maintain artifacts in the collection.

Education Volunteer - Includes assisting with a school program,
supervising hands-on galleries, judging at Regional History Day,
assisting at History
Camp and more.
Quilt
Museum Demonstrator - Demonstrates quilting, embroidery and other
textile skills to visitors.

Each opportunity has flexible hours. Please contact the Volunteer
Coordinator or call (717) 299-6440.
Recognition

The Board of Trustees and Lancaster Quilt & Textile Museum staff
realize the value of volunteers. We honor volunteers at two annual
events: a summer potluck picnic and a formal luncheon in the winter.

Volunteers also receive parking validation and a 10% discount on
purchases at either Museum Store.
